From Foster Care to a True Success Story; Terry Whitaker is an award-winning innovative educator from Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He began his career immediately after college graduation teaching S.T.E.M at Rocky Mount Middle School. He received his bachelor's degree from Fayetteville State University in Mass Communications. In 2011, Whitaker was awarded the Disney World Fanatic Service Award, an award selected by Global Guest and Coworkers.


In the duration of his teaching for two years in various middle grade levels, Whitaker had a drive to begin transforming teaching and instruction inside of his classroom. Whitaker has been successful in transforming at-risk students into the path of high-performing college prospects. Creating real world S.T.E.M based projects that include Webpage Design, Robotics, 3-D printing, Digital Book Design and Coding.

He began implementing and leading challenging innovative resources with the help of Nash-Rocky Mount Public School District, North Carolina State University, Wesleyan College, and Cummins Inc officials for the students and community that would defy and break the traditional mold of 21st century instruction.

In the result of educational innovations, Whitaker was acknowledged by the 44th President of the United States - Barack Obama, Dr. Jason Painter - Director of the Science House, Superintendent Dr. Travis Twiford, Superintendent Dr. Anthony D. Jackson and most importantly the students who's lives he has impacted.

Terry Whitaker is in search of his next platform, which includes pursuit of innovating the Entertainment Industry and our U.S. Education Governmental System.
